What a great day we all had yesterday at the UCC Family Sports day. It wasn’t the warmest weather but everyone had a lot of fun during the football games and rounders! Thank you to all who came along and participated and made it a great village day.
These events can’t happen without a lot of organisation and time from the UCC members so for that I want to say a huge thank to the team for their hard work over the last few weeks. I also want to say a massive thank you to James O’Dowd (McPhees) who donated a huge amount of delicious food for the event. Thank you also to Elaine Smith and the team from Caldwell Golf Club who donated a Four Ball for the raffle, and arranged to send some lovely cakes and golf members for the taster session, and to Uplawmoor Hotel for the £20 gift voucher. We made £129 in the raffle which will go to help fund future events and projects. We will be in touch with the winners of prizes asap.
Finally I need to thank the Mure Hall Committee and Tennis Club for allowing use of their facilities. It truly was a village event!
