Responding to the Proposed Airspace Changes

🌟 Big thanks to everyone who joined last night’s Uplawmoor Community Council meeting! With strong support from across our village, we kicked off a powerful response to Glasgow Airport’s airspace changes.

🌟 Quick recap: We’ve reviewed what’s (barely) changed since 2018, mapped the real noise impacts on our core areas like Neilston and Lochlibo Roads, and pinpointed the strongest arguments for the CAA – from lost respite and overflights to ignored health effects and terrain issues.

🌟 We’re on track: Draft ready by January 9th, final sign-off January 20th, and submission before January 25th.

🌟 Now, we need YOU!

We’re preparing a community petition to back our evidence-based objection and protect Uplawmoor’s peace. We’ll be in touch soon with a link. Until then you can:

  1. Respond Directly to Glasgow Airport: Review the proposals (including postcode-specific impacts) and submit your feedback via their online form. It’s straightforward and counts towards the official record. Go to the consultation site
  2. Share via Paul O’Kane’s Community Survey: Our local MSP is consolidating Uplawmoor views to amplify our collective voice – super quick and targeted! Complete the survey here
