At some point today, you should receive the first bulletin about coronavirus, and the “safety net” project that we’ve started with the Uplawmoor Development Trust and the Caldwell Parish Church.
You can also view the bulletin library here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oeq7sJJqqhM7hspX0rbfjzI9X4xGLPGg
Hopefully there’s nothing new in that bulletin for most people, but it should ensure that everyone in our community has access to the latest information, even if they don’t have internet access. We will produce regular bulletins, although the rest will be online-only (apart from households that request paper copies).
To make the safety net described in the bulletin work, we’d be grateful for offers of assistance that we can match up to help requests we receive. You can register yourself as available to help here: https://forms.gle/8DgvMbKeBTeJuXz2A
This is slightly different to making yourself available over the Info facebook page, so please keep doing that as well! We won’t publish this list; it’s only for matching up against the help requests we receive through firstname.lastname@example.org, via the phone number in the bulletin, or through the church.
There’s also an option in the form for organisations (businesses and voluntary groups) to say what services they could offer to those self-isolating. We’ll pull that information out and use it in the next bulletin.
Hopefully that all makes sense (let us know if not)! We’re going to sit back for a couple of days and see what happens. The next bulletin is likely to be early next week – we want to include a bit more information about “social distancing”, as well as list those organisations doing local home delivery.
